SOUTH SALT LAKE POLICE EVIDENCE STORAGE
In 2002 South Salt Lake Police designed and constructed a new facility. One of the key considerations was the evidence storage area. With the complexity of cases today as much evidence as possible must be secured. With emerging technologies the evidence must also be stored for a longer period of time than in the past. South Salt Lake Police used high-density moveable shelving from Salt City Records to maximize the storage in their new evidence room. This type of shelving is the most space efficient solution available today. As compared to traditional shelving systems it typical allows two (2) to three (3) times the storage.
South Salt Lake Police found high-density moveable shelving so space efficient they used it for the main evidence room, a drug storage room and their police records storage.
Salt City Records designed the system. Chris Rodgers of Salt City Records says, “One of our best services is FREE! We will do design and layout work for no charge to demonstrate the effectiveness of our products.”
One unique feature Salt City Records offers is the ability to lay track with ramps right on existing floor. (see picture at top). This makes installation in new construction or existing buildings a snap.
Salt City Records has designed similar police evidence and records storage systems for the Logan Utah Police facility, the American Fork Police, Midvale Police, Hill AFB military police and West Jordan Police, and the Roy Police to name a few law enforcement agencies that utilize high density shelving and high density movable shelving in the state of Utah. |
